Design

  • Prepare engineering studies, preliminary designs and estimates for the purpose of obtaining optimum design to conform with a project’s budgets and programme.
  • Design, document and supervise those components of the works to comply with the relevant authorities and in accordance with sound, common practice.

 

Review

  • Review, research and prepare options on available structural alternatives, and report on and recommend  those best suited to the project.
  • Review and comment on proposals prepared by other parties.

 

Contracts

  • Prepare, tender and contract documents for the execution of the works.
  • Act as principal consultant in a contractual situation administering a contract between the client and contractor, including the issuing of all certificates.

 

Compliance

  • Submissions to ascertain the design requirements in order to achieve compliance.
  • Issue appropriate compliance certificates to relevant statutory authorities before, during and after construction.

 

Inspections

  • Carry out inspections and reports into the condition of building elements and subsequent project management of building repairs.
