About Chapman Hutchison

The vast array of architectural styles and sites encountered in this area of structural engineering, have greatly broadened the company's technical experience and knowledge. Geographically difficult sites, plus the need to work with all materials such as timber, concrete, stone, brick and steel, have helped to develop a wide variety of skills.

  • A typical example is a home at Barrenjoey Road, Palm Beach which apart from having an almost cliff-like site, required large cantilevered balconies to be constructed on very shallow slab depths.
  • Other structures have involved tubular steel framed roofs, underground carparks and driven timber pole foundations.
Over the years we have worked with many architects to create award-winning houses.
